Geelong Field Naturalists' Club

The Geelong Field Naturalists' Club aims to stimulate the study and appreciation of natural history by lectures, discussions and excursions to areas of ecological interest. They also strive to preserve and protect Australian flora and fauna and protect endangered species and habitats. They celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2011.

The aims of the GFNC are to:

  • Stimulate the study and appreciation of natural history.
  • Preserve and protect native flora and fauna.
  • Promote the conservation of natural resources and the protection of endangered species and habitats.
  • Record information and knowledge about the flora and fauna of the Geelong region.
