Public meeting - more coal mines for the Latrobe Valley?

The State Government is considering whether to allocate new mining licenses that would open up another 13 billion tonnes of brown coal over an area stretching from Moe to Gormandale.

That’s the equivalent of 13 new coal mines the size of Hazelwood mine.

This public meeting will outline the coal expansion plans, share landholders’ experience from past coal allocations and explain your legal rights as locals and landholders.
