Unit 15: Calculating Results

In this unit students calculate their results from the personal eco-challenge. They develop their numeracy skills through adding up their results, and then calculating how much they have saved in litres of water and kilograms of greenhouse gases. To help them understand how much they have saved, they calculate how much would be saved if all Victorians took on the same actions. They also convert the figures to things they can relate to, like swimming pools full of water, or number of cars off the road.
