WaterLinks
Whoever it was that said 'knowledge shared is power' was onto something. And we think that's no truer than when you're working to save Victoria's precious rivers.
That's why we've set up a free knowledge sharing program for community environmental advocates. The program links up people working on the ground with a range of technical experts to share information and expertise.
Our experts bring knowledge and networks from a diverse range of fields, including:
- Engineering
- Law
- Media
- Conservation Biology
- Ecology
- Water Management
And it's not just a one-way street. Our technical experts gain increased access to local knowledge and on-the-ground experience through their interaction with community environmental advocates. This knowledge helps inform their work and provides case studies for their research.
The process leaves us all richer and more empowered to work towards healthy rivers.
The Waterlinks program is chaired by Dr Mike Grace, Director of the Water Studies Centre and Senior Lecturer in Aquatic and Environmental Chemistry at Monash University.
Do you have a question?
Chances are we can find you the answer. Simply email us below. Give us an outline of your issue or query and about the type of advice or help you need.
Your request will then be passed on to our panel of experts. If a panel member can help, they will contact you directly. Our goal is to fulfill requests within two weeks of the initial enquiry. Either way, we'll let you know how we go.
Let us know how you go
As a follow-up, we'll ask you to complete a brief feedback survey. The advice will be added to our database for people searching for help with similar issues in the future.
