Hazelwood closure may be delayed

The State Government will continue to push for the closure of Hazelwood Power Station despite Federal Climate Change Minister, Greg Combet, ruling out financial assistance in the next four years.
The State Government has been meeting with its federal counterparts and the owners of Hazelwood in an attempt to reach agreement to buy out the power station.
But as the Government proposes to partially close down one power station in the La Trobe Valley, it plans to open another.
