Supermine? No way!
An Aussie coal company called Exergen is lobbying for a coal allocation to build a Supermine - a brown coal mine of monstrous proportions just 90 minutes from Melbourne in the Latrobe Valley.
Not only do they plan to dig up our dirtiest fossil fuel but they also want to transport it to Westernport Bay and ship it off to India. This’ll be the start of a whole new brown coal export industry for Victoria. And potentially path the way for other countries like Greece, Poland and the US to start their own brown coal export business too. This is pretty nasty. And deadly serious.
We really need your support on this one. Tell Premier Baillieu you don’t want a Supermine and a devastatingly polluting brown coal export industry now – or ever!
