At the 2019 AGM we will debate a number of updates to Environment Victoria’s rules (our constitution) to reflect the latest legal requirements and best practice governance. This includes a preamble recognising that we live and work on Aboriginal land. The proposed changes have to receive a 75 percent “yes” vote in order to pass.
We would love to hear your feedback on the proposed changes and answer any questions you have so we’ve set up a feedback form where you can get in touch.
If you can’t attend the AGM you can still vote. The Environment Victoria constitution allows members to appoint someone else as their proxy, provided notice is given to the Secretary at least 24 hours before the meeting commences.
If you would like to appoint a proxy you must do using the official form, and post or email it to us by 5pm Tuesday 29 October. If you are posting it, please pop it in the mail a few days prior to make sure we receive it by the deadline.
Email the form to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Or post it to:
PO Box 12575,
Melbourne Vic 8006
All are welcome but you must be a current member to cast a vote.
