Zoom meeting: Write a submission – and help slash gas pollution

🗓️ When: Thursday 20th February, 6.30 – 7.30pm

📍 Where: Zoom (video call)

Who’s it for? Everyone in our community who wants to see our government take real climate action that will lower household bills and make our homes healthier. Making a submission is easy, and this meeting will give you everything you need to make yours count.

What to expect: I’ll be joined by our climate and energy policy expert, Kat Lucas-Healey, who will talk us through the proposed regulations and answer your questions. And we’ll do a quick step-by-step walk through of the process.

Methane gas is extremely damaging for our climate, and Victoria burns far more than other Australian states – a large chunk of that in our homes for heating and hot water.

So phasing out old gas appliances and upgrading them to modern electric ones is a big opportunity for climate action while lowering bills for households.

Through this consultation process, we need to show that all around our state, people want to see an orderly transition away from fossil fuels.
