Australia’s first National Climate Risk Assessment (NCRA) highlighted the growing consequences of climate-fuelled unnatural disasters and the urgent need to prepare for future impacts.
In response, Renew Australia for All (a diverse alliance of more than 80 organisations) is launching a ‘Climate Safety Plan’ to advocate for climate adaptation and resilience solutions ahead of the 2026 Federal Budget.
The comprehensive ‘Climate Safety Plan’ includes policy ideas across the built environment; health; insurance; emergency management; community resilience; food and agriculture; workers’ rights; and income support.
Come along to learn about the plan and hear from Maribyrnong Community Recovery Association, Environment Victoria, GenWest and Sweltering Cities on what we can do to make our communities climate safe.
Tea, coffee and light snacks will be provided.
This event is being co-hosted with Act on Climate Victoria and the Victorian Trades Hall Council.
