Critical timing
Moments like the upcoming state election shape what’s possible for our clean energy future. This is an opportunity to come together and help push clean energy forward in Victoria in a meaningful way.
Our opposition are gearing up
Powerful fossil fuel interests are mobilising ahead of the Victorian election. Backed by mining billionaires and political allies, they want to slow down or stop progress on clean energy.
High stakes
Everything our movement has worked for is on the line. Some political forces are campaigning to restart native forest logging, put the brakes on renewable energy, and unwind progress on clean energy in our homes.
Together, we can win
Last year our movement worked together to rebuke Dutton’s dirty nuclear plans. And we’re using the same model of collaboration this year. Environment Victoria is working with dozens of groups from across Victoria to build and demonstrate a unified front – to demand that we continue and expand climate action in Victoria.
That’s why this Summit + Campaign Launch is for everyone in our movement. If you’re part of another group working on climate, please come along and bring your active members!
The purpose of the Campaign Launch and Summit is to strengthen our collective readiness to win on climate at the state election, while also reconnecting and energising the people who make this work possible.
Participants will dive into the campaign strategies and plans that Environment Victoria and other groups have for the 2026 Victorian election.
The day will bring together organisers, community groups and volunteers to share plans, strategise together, sharpen organising skills and build momentum for the campaign ahead.
The day will include:
Campaign briefings and strategy sessions
Skill-building workshops
Opportunities for groups to share their work and plans
Time to connect with organisers and community members from across Victoria
Shared meals and moments to celebrate the strength of the movement
Catering will be provided.
Everyone in our movement – experienced or new – is welcome!
If you’re part of another organisation or community group working on climate in Victoria, this summit is for you too.
Groups are encouraged to:
Bring core members and organisers who help make things happen locally
Share what you want to get out of the day
Let us know if your group would like to contribute to or run a session
Environment Victoria will cover the costs and lead on logistics to make it easy for groups to join and participate.
