The Andrews government has recently announced an end to connecting new homes to gas, but their Gas Substitution Roadmap, still needs to be much stronger and more ambitious. It’s being reviewed right now and we’ve got a chance to say how crucial bold action is for getting our state off gas quickly.
Let your MP know you want them to help Victorian households get off gas, and a good place to start is with government support to replace toxic gas heaters with efficient electric appliances. For social housing, all heaters should be switched out by next winter.
