We Know How to Win.
Our strategy is simple and effective: bring together people who care, equip them to take action, and make sure decision-makers hear a loud, united call for healthy rivers.
The Murray-Darling Basin wasn’t pushed to the brink overnight, and it won’t recover overnight either. Powerful interests have shaped water policy for decades. The only thing strong enough to counter them is a movement of people demanding better.
That’s exactly what we’ve been building.
Together, we’ve helped win major reforms, including the Restoring Our Rivers legislation, which put the health of the Murray-Darling Basin back on the national agenda.
Right now, the Murray-Darling Basin plan review is underway, a once-in-a-decade opportunity to put our rivers on a path to recovery.
And we’re making this moment count. More than 1,000 Environment Victoria supporters recently took powerful action by making submissions to the review, helping show governments that Victorians want living rivers, not empty promises.
We’re on the cusp of launching powerful, compelling short-films that will build awareness, spark conversations and grow the movement for healthy rivers — showing decision-makers that support for change is strong, widespread and impossible to ignore.
Now we need to keep momentum building. Together, we can get water back to rivers and wetlands, flowing to those who need it most.
