Say Yes Earth Relay

We’ve partnered up with some inspiring and energetic climate action groups across Victoria to send a message of support for the federal government’s action on climate change.

Like the passage of the Olympic flame, communities across Victoria will be passing an inflatable human sized earth globe (it’s seriously that big – check it out) from suburb to suburb until it reaches Canberra in time for the passing of the carbon price legislation through parliament.

It’s our symbol of what we are trying to protect and our hope for a cleaner, greener world. We hope will inspire communities across Victoria and have a positive impact on Parliament House come November.

The arrival of our Say Yes Earth Relay in Canberra will (quite nicely) coincide with the erection of Greenpeace’s Earth Dome. It dwarfs our globe at 4 stories tall and will be a hub of activities during the week Monday, 31 October – Friday, 4 November, hosting press conferences and a photographic exhibition of our Earth Relay. Pretty cool huh. Check out all the action here

Of course we'd love you to get involved!

Wowza - this globe is going to clock up some k's by the time it arrives in Canberra! Check out the busy schedule below. If you'd like to get involved in any of these events please contact the host organisation directly. Or alternatively, if your group is looking to hosting the relay in your town pretty please give us a shout. We'd love to have you on board!

Note: Unfortunately the Climate Action Station has been cancelled due to unforseen events. However, the Earth Relay Arrival is still happening in Canberra at 4pm on Monday, 31 October outside Parliament House.

PS > Our good mates at the Nature Conservation Council of NSW are also relaying it too. Check out their schedule and pics here
