Let's take the fight against new coal power to the feds. Sign the MONSTER petition today

You may have heard back in May that the Environment Protection Authority (EPA) approved a new coal-fired power station for Victoria called HRL. If it goes ahead it will increase our carbon pollution by millions of tonnes every year and lock us into polluting and out-of-date technology for decades to come. That’s a pretty nasty prospect. But we’ve got a plan.

Not only are we fighting this approval through the courts, kicking off with our appeal at VCAT on Monday, 24 October. But we’re also calling on the feds to withdraw their whopping $100 million grant (of tax-payer cash mind you) to HRL that could be the final straw for this big polluter.

To do this, we’ve coordinating a MONSTER petition to the feds that will be tabled in parliament in December. We’re aiming for 10,000 signatures by then and we’d love you to help us reach our goal.

So, what are you waiting for?
