Joint letter to State and Territory Environment Ministers on National Air Quality Standards

Air pollution is affecting the quality of life in communities across the country and is currently responsible for over 3,000 premature deaths every year, yet Australia’s existing standards are inadequate and out-dated.
With State and Territory ministers set to meet to discuss Australia’s air quality standards, conservation councils across the state joined forces to call for a strong regulatory framework.
