Exposed AGL’s attempt to weaken environment protections and push through their gas import terminal

We released information showing AGL Energy actively lobbied the Victorian Environment Protection Authority (EPA) to weaken wastewater management guidelines protecting internationally recognised Ramsar wetlands.

These guidelines presented a barrier to AGL’s proposed gas import terminal in Westernport Bay, which would need to dump warm, chlorinated wastewater into the bay near RAMSAR wetlands.
