Stop Dutton's Dangerous Nuclear Scheme

THE PROBLEM

Dutton’s nuclear plan is a climate-wrecking disaster:

Too Expensive – The first reactor alone costs $17 billion. His whole scheme would be twice as expensive as building the equivalent in clean energy.

Too Slow – Nuclear reactors would 15+ years to build. Wind and solar take just 1–3 years and are already here!

Too Risky – Communities across Victoria would be exposed to the risk of a meltdown and the problems with storing radioactive waste that lasts thousands of years.

Too Polluting – Waiting for nuclear would add an extra 2 billion tonnes of climate pollution by burning coal and gas for decades longer, hurting our climate and environment even more.

One of the seven proposed nuclear sites is in Gippsland, just 150km from Melbourne.

Gippsland MP Darren Chester still supports this dangerous plan – but pressure is mounting. With a united community voice, we can force him and Dutton to back down.
