The results are summarised in our new report, which includes moving personal stories about why we need to get off gas and shows 76% of people want government support to electrify their homes. The Victorian government has promised to update its Gas Substitution Roadmap by the end of the year. So now is a critical moment to show them how much the community supports replacing gas in our homes with efficient electric appliances.
We’ve been out having in-depth conversations with nearly 600 people from Bairnsdale to Bentleigh, Clunes to Somerville and many places in between and combined the results in a new report. It shows 83% of people supported Victoria switching away from gas and 76% want government support to electrify their homes. We’ve also included some moving personal stories about why we need to get off gas. See the report here >>
Local MPs have been telling our volunteers that they are hungry for information about what Victorians think … especially as they’re weighing in on decisions about the future of gas in our state.
So make sure your MP doesn’t miss the memo, send them our report
Together we can ensure Victoria’s updated Gas Substitution Roadmap includes a bold plan to electrify Victoria in the next decade.
