Environment Victoria: Annual Report 2020-2021

Welcome to our Annual Report

This report covers our activities for the 2020-2021 financial year and discloses those activities of most interest to our key stakeholders, our financial performance and the direct sustainability impacts of our operations.

This year we’ve had some big achievements, including:

• Stopped Australia’s biggest polluter, AGL, from building a giant hulking gas import terminal in beautiful
  Westernport Bay
• Helped secure the largest single investment in clean energy of any state, ever
• Secured new protections for the Goulburn river from damaging unseasonal irrigation flows
• Brought forward the closure of Australia’s dirtiest coal power station, Yallourn, by at least four years
• Produced a powerful documentary on the 2019-20 bushfires
