On 1 March, Environment Victoria Action Network West volunteers hosted a market stall at the Wyndham Multicultural Lunar Festival. We were joined by our friends from Asian Australians for Climate Solutions and Point Cook English Corner.
Volunteers had lots of conversations with locals to understand how people think about gas, and how electrification can help tackle our climate crisis meaningfully.
We heard from people about their concerns over high upfront costs, quality of installations and limited consumer information for multicultural communities.
These insights are critical, and they will help us inform our campaign, develop resources, and advise decision-makers on what communities in the West really need.
