Thousands expected at Hazelwood Rally this Saturday

The future of Hazelwood, Australia’s dirtiest power station, has become the key test of party’s climate change credentials at this state election.

This Saturday, thousands of Victorians will march in Melbourne to increase pressure on John Brumby and Ted Baillieu to step up and commit to replacing the entire power station within the next term of Government.

What

State election rally calling on all political parties to commit to Replace ALL of Hazelwood, Australia’s dirtiest power station, and move Victoria to a renewable energy powered future. 

When

1.00pm to 3.00pm on Saturday, 6 November 2010 

Where

Starts at State Library, marching along Swanston St, up Bourke St to Parliament House.

Visuals

The rally will be led by eight 3 metre high smokestacks, a replica of the now infamous Hazelwood towers.
