Angela enjoys exploring and relaxing in nature.
I have been volunteering with Environment Victoria for over three years, and have found this involvement to be extremely rewarding, whether it be updating databases, dropping leaflets into letterboxes, manning a stall or making phone calls. Working with Environment Victoria gives me the opportunity to contribute towards the future sustainability of our planet.
Unless we urgently transition to clean, renewable energy in Victoria, we will miss this critical opportunity to reduce our reliance on coal. We have had the hottest January and February on record this year – we really are at five minutes to midnight!
If you too are worried about the severe climate damage and economic folly of dirty coal mines and other fossil fuels, join me and get involved with #Repower.

#Repower is a tangible way to learn how to use your skills at a local level, mobilise local communities and institutions to convert to clean energy, and reduce reliance on filthy fossil fuels.
If you have been thinking about volunteering for a while (like I did), now’s the time to do it.
I remember when I was first thinking about getting involved with volunteering this is what was going through my mind:
‘I’m scared!’… Perfectly normal. Fear can be paralysing if you focus on it, but it is also a great motivator.
‘I don’t have time, I’m flat out!’… I usually find time if it’s important enough, and I rarely regret it later.
‘What if I’m no good at it?’… Remember that coach who once said to me: “Never let perfectionism get in the way of progress.” There’ll be stacks of jobs for me to do. I don’t have to be perfect, and I won’t have to run the show.
‘I’m too tired!’… Amazing how I always find the energy when I get involved in something, and I’m sure the people around me (my fellow volunteers) will also help inspire and energise me.
I look forward to meeting you!
