If you own an apartment, you may have tried, and struggled, to lower energy costs through upgrades like solar, electric hot water, or efficient heating and cooling.
Apartment owners often face extra hurdles that people in houses don’t: complex owners corporation rules, unclear decision-making processes, shared infrastructure, and limited access to rebates designed for standalone homes.
The Victorian Parliament is currently examining how renewable and affordable energy can work better for apartments – and owners’ real-world experiences are critical to getting the settings right.
