Geelong Environment Council

The Geelong Environment Council (GEC)was formed in 1972 to assist in the protection of the environment in and around Geelong. The GEC has been involved in the 'Save the Otways' campaign and National Park protection; the protection of Point Lillias from a proposed relocation of the Coode Island Chemical Storage Facility; industrial discharges and pollution and Corio Bay as well as Coastal and Marine issues.
