The Victorian government is currently conducting an inquiry into the 2019-20 Victorian Fire Season. We’ve built this webform to make it easier to draft your submission (due 30 April).
The inquiry has many terms of reference, but this form focuses on the most relevant for the environment and climate change. It simplifies the process so you can create a draft in 5 or 10 minutes. If you want to address other issues, or upload photos and documents, we recommend completing the full submission survey here.
After you’ve completed the form and pressed the submit button, it will email you with your answers and instructions on how to submit. It’s basically just a tool to get you started…but sometimes that’s the biggest barrier!
Submissions are due by end of April 2020, but we recommend getting yours in slightly early – by 28 April.
Answers on this form will be stored in Environment Victoria’s online database. By filling it out, you are giving permission for us to contact you later with information relating to the bushfires inquiry, climate change or recovery in fire-affected areas. This helps build a network of people who are concerned about these issues and can work together to campaign for better policies. If you don’t want to share your story with Environment Victoria, you can make a direct submission through this online survey from the Inspector-General for Emergency Management.
The answers will only save once you press ‘submit’. If you have an unstable connection, you could copy your answers and save them in a Word doc.
