We'll mail you our policy briefer on affordable community energy policy, so you can deliver it to MPs and candidates ahead of the state election.
Right now across Victoria, clean energy is powering millions of homes and delivering huge savings on bills. But not enough people can access these benefits.
You can help! With a state election coming up, now is the perfect time to reach out to MPs and candidates to tell them Victoria must keep going with a fair, equitable transition. Sign up below and Environment Victoria will reach out to chat through how you can participate. We’ll also mail you a policy briefer for you to deliver to your representative and get the conversation going.
Below you’ll find resources to help you with MP engagement. But if it’s your first time, don’t worry. Nico from Environment Victoria will reach out and support. You can contact them at n.leonard@environmentvictoria.org.au with any questions – don’t be shy!
We’ll mail you a hard copy if you sign up above! In the meantime, check out the briefer online here. It draws on polling, survey data and conversations with hundreds of Victorians to lay out how we can improve community access to clean, affordable energy.
You can find your local MP here and potential candidates for the 2026 election here. Google their office location during business hours and bring the hard copy with you. If you can, take a photo and let us know how it goes! If you need help at any stage, contact Nico from Environment Victoria at n.leonard@environmentvictoria.org.au. Make sure to let them know how it goes once you’ve done a delivery or meeting.
If you’re really keen, we encourage you to set an in-person meeting. This guide runs through how to do your research and set up a meeting.
