Thanks for stepping up to support Treaty in Victoria. Now is a crucial time, to let your local Liberal or Nationals MP know that you support First Nations Justice.
Don’t worry if you don’t know every detail, this isn’t about being an expert – the most important thing to get across in your call is that you live in their electorate and that you want the Liberal party and your MP to support the treaty process.
See the instructions for finding your MP below or scroll down for the conversation tips.
>> Treaty is an opportunity to walk the path of justice together, it should be a moment of pride, unity and celebration for all Victorians.
>> First Nations peoples across the state have dreamt of this historic moment: working towards truth and Treaty for decades and all Victorians have a right to demand that we make right this unfinished business.
>> Treaty is about allowing First Nations people to make decisions about their communities, because they know what works best.
>> The First Peoples’ Assembly has been elected by communities across Victoria to lead Treaty work. We should honour their voices and decisions.
>> The journey to Treaty has been transparent and ongoing across two election cycles. Up until just last year, the Liberal and National Parties supported Treaty and the process behind it, to abandon First Nations communities at the last moment puts them on the wrong side of history.
